How long does an integration take?
With the hosted payment page, most of the work is redirecting customers and handling the result. A custom API checkout takes longer because you build and test the payment form, 3-D Secure redirects and error handling yourself.
What changes for PCI DSS?
With the hosted payment page, card data is entered on Payixay’s secure page and never touches your servers, which keeps your PCI DSS scope small. With the server-to-server API, card data passes through your systems, so you need your own PCI DSS compliance.
How do I test before going live?
You receive sandbox keys after your application has been reviewed. Use test cards to try approvals, declines, 3-D Secure challenges and refunds, then confirm your webhook endpoint verifies signatures before switching to live keys.
