Acceptable Use Policy

Effective date: 12 October 2026

This policy sets out the types of business Payixay can and cannot support. It applies to every merchant that uses our payment services and forms part of our merchant terms. We apply card scheme rules, applicable law and the requirements of our acquiring and technology partners.

1. Businesses we support

Payixay supports legitimate businesses that sell online, including ecommerce and retail, digital services and software, education, travel and hospitality, events, health and wellness, marketplaces, subscriptions, professional services and nonprofit organisations. Every merchant must have a working website that clearly describes its products, prices, terms, refund policy and contact details.

2. Prohibited activities

We do not support the following:

  • Any product, service or activity that is illegal in the merchant’s country or in the cardholder’s country
  • Unlicensed gambling, betting, lottery or gaming of any kind
  • Unlicensed foreign exchange, CFD or investment services, and all binary options
  • Pyramid schemes, Ponzi schemes and get rich quick offers
  • Illegal drugs and prescription medicines sold without a licence
  • Weapons, ammunition and explosives
  • Adult content involving minors or non consensual content
  • Counterfeit goods and products that infringe intellectual property
  • Unlicensed money transmission, shell banks and anonymous stored value
  • Hacking tools, malware and the sale of personal data
  • Persons, entities or countries subject to sanctions
  • Processing payments on behalf of undisclosed third parties (transaction laundering)

3. Businesses that require a licence and prior approval

Some regulated businesses are accepted only with our prior written approval, a valid licence for every market they serve and enhanced due diligence. These include licensed forex brokers and licensed online gaming operators. Such merchants must show their licence on their website, apply age verification and geo blocking where required, and display clear risk warnings and terms.

4. Website requirements

Before activation and during the relationship we review each merchant website. It must show the legal business name, a physical country of operation, customer service contact details, product descriptions with prices, terms and conditions, a privacy policy, a refund or cancellation policy and delivery information where relevant.

5. Monitoring and enforcement

We monitor transactions, refunds and chargebacks. Where a merchant breaches this policy we may request information, hold settlement, apply a reserve, suspend processing or end the relationship, and we may report the matter to card schemes, partners or authorities where the law requires it.

6. Changes

We may update this policy to reflect changes in law, card scheme rules or partner requirements. The current version is always published on this page.
